The Château du Clos-Lucé, once known as the manoir du Cloux, is an enchanting residence nestled in the heart of the Val de Loire, in the center of Amboise. Originally conceived in 1471 as a fief of the Château d'Amboise, it changed hands several times before Charles VIII acquired it as a summer residence for French royalty.
