The Caen Memorial is a museum dedicated to twentieth-century history and peace, officially designated a 'museum of France' and a member of the International Network of Museums for Peace. In 2002, the museum expanded with a new wing focused primarily on the Cold War. Together, the two permanent exhibitions span 1919 to 1989, from the Treaty of Versailles to the fall of the Berlin Wall.
